In Japanese, “Reiki” means “Universal Life Energy”.

Today, many know Reiki as the healing technique in which a practitioner places hands lightly on or over a person’s body to accelerate and enhance their body’s natural healing abilities.

For me, however, Reiki is so much more than the facilitation of one’s energy during a hands-on session. For me, Reiki is a meditation. It is a daily practice of conscious connection to the things we feel but cannot see, and it is a doorway into the oneness of everything.

Reiki is not religious or dogmatic in any way. It will always meet you exactly where you are. If it is your wish, however, it can open up an inner spiritual dimension by deepening your connection with the part of life that has no physical expression.

In addition to group sessions, I also offer individual Reiki sessions for those desiring extra support. If interested, contact me here.

Your Reiki session is conducted on a massage table, fully clothed, in a quiet, comfortable, sacred environment. I will place my hands gently on or just above your body.

Everyone experiences Reiki in their own unique way. Some experience a dramatic sensation while others experience a more subtle energetic shift. For many, receiving Reiki is like a deeply relaxing meditation without any extra effort on the part of the participant.

The effects of Reiki are cumulative. Often times people who do not initially recognize the full sensations of Reiki report more powerful experiences as they continue to repeat sessions.. Besides the immediate experience you may have during the session, you may find that after a session you continue to benefit from such things such as easier digestion, less fatigue and stress, and improved sleep.
